Cycling tours specialist in Sardinia.
Dolcevita Bike Tours was set up in 2000 with a clear-cut mission - to help you discover the true, unique face of Sardinia, through its natural beauty, heritage and culture, its hospitality and charming, cosy hotels we carefully select for you. We focus on active, nature-oriented tourism, targeting the human dimension, never hurried, never shallow, off the beaten track and far from the madding crowd.
The Dolcevita team: great passion - long experience
It's not by chance if much of our offer is bicycle-centred: a special means of discovery, environmentally-friendly and never intrusive, letting you feel the breeze on your face, the scents and sounds surrounding you, giving you time to see what you would otherwise miss, taking a close look at the people you meet without the barriers imposed by a four-wheeled metal box.
In spring or autumn, alone or together with just a few other travellers, for many miles or just a short trip. With guided or individual tours by bicycle or mountain bike, for a whole week or just for a long weekend, with a fixed base if you prefer. Or how about a multi-sport formula: on foot, by bicycle, in kayak, but also training holidays and tailor-made packages.
Dolcevita always has the solution you are looking for and provides complete assistance: equipment rental and carefully chosen hotels, but also guides, well-prepared picnics and back-up vehicle with baggage trailer for guided tours; briefing on arrival, baggage handling, detailed road book and phone assistance for individual tours.
We have a four-strong management team - linked by a passion for active tourism and of course for Sardinia.
Sandro, born in Turin, holds a degree in business studies from the University of Brighton and the Turin Polytechnic, and a master in the Economy and Management of Tourism from the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. The creator and leader of Dolcevita, he has considerable experience as tourist consultant and tour leader all round the world. A passion for travel, mountain biking and sports, he rode the famous Camino de Santiago and many other routes all over Europe. He speaks English and Spanish.
Marcello, born in Bosa, holds a degree in Law from the University of Sassari, took a master in the Economy and Management of Tourism from the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice and an international master on Tourism Management from AILUN. He has worked as a tourist marketing trainer and consultant. Loves playing the guitar, travelling and outdoor sports, he speaks English and French.
Marco, born in Cagliari, holds a degree in European and extra-European Languages and Culture at the University of Cagliari. Keen on music, sports and an avid reader, he speaks English, Spanish, French and (at least he tries!) Arabic.
Anita, born in Mogoro, ancient town of wines and traditional carpets. After studying tourism she worked several years at the reservations department of a well known luxury hotel in Sardinia. But then, pushed by her personal interests, she decided it was time to shift to a more sustainable tourism activity based on natural resources and people…and here she is...
